Obituary of Barbara P. Vallance

Barbara Vallance (nee Paterson) died on Saturday February 24, 2007 at her home in Denville NJ.
Born in Scotland, she arrived in Belleville NJ at age nineteen and setup a home for her family to immigrate to the following year. Barbara resided in Belleville until 1976 when she took residence in Mantoloking NJ and Hypoluxo FL. She came to Denville in 2001 and still maintained her Florida residence.
In the early 1950s she and her husband William, founded Sheffield Tool & Mfg. Co. and Sheffield Precision Ceramics, Inc in Kearney, NJ. She remained active there until last year.
Barbara was active in the Belleville Eastern Star in the 1930s and 40s. She was also a member of the Forest Hill Field Club when they lived in Belleville.
Her Husband William H. in 1990, her son William A. in 2001, and her two brothers Alexander and Philip predeceased her.
Her son Geoffrey and his wife Helena of Brick NJ and her daughter Elaine and her Husband Richard Pfaff of Montville Survive her. Also surviving are four grandsons, three granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 1, 2007 at 10:00am at the Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Ave, Denville NJ 07834 www.normandean.com Internment will follow at the Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 28, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
