Obituary of Jeffrey Scott Emmons

Jeffrey Scott Emmons, 47, died on Wednesday Feb. 14, 2007 at U.M.D.N.J. Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Jeff was born in Montclair and grew up in Pine Brook. He graduated from Montville H.S. in 1978. He was a carpenter and had lived in Ft. Myers Florida before moving back to Pine Brook where he went to work with his brother as a Boiler Mechanic at Alpha Combustion in Flanders, NJ. He had been a member of the B. P. O. E. in Ft. Myers. His love for the outdoors and working with his hands, as well as his desire to help others, drew him to become active in the Red Bird Missions in Appalachia through his church. His brother David Lee Emmons died previously. He is survived by his parents William and Joyce Dobson Emmons of Pine Brook, his brother and sister in-law Mark and Debbie Emmons of Denville, and his sister Beth Joyce Emmons of Mays Landing, NJ. He is also survived by a niece Rachel Emmons and a nephew David Emmons. A Memorial service will be held on Monday Feb. 19, 2007 at the Montville United Methodist Church Route 202 Towaco, NJ at 10:00 AM.
