Hector Nieves, 51, died on Sunday Feb. 11, 2007 at JFK Hartwyck at Oak Tree in Edison, NJ. Hector was born and raised in Paterson, NJ and moved to Denville in 1983. He had graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ in 1980 with a BS in Industrial Engineering. He was a property investor and general partner in CAHN Estates in Passaic NJ with his partners Charles Alfieri and Edward Happle which was started in 1981. Hector loved sports especially golf and basketball, he was very active in Denville coaching his son in HUB and Traveling Soccer, PAL Basketball, and Denville Little League. He had also served as the Morris Knolls High School Freshman Boys Basketball Coach from 1990 to 1997. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Andrea R. (nee Marountas), and his daughter Tanya Y. Nieves, and Son Nicholas P. Nieves all of Denville, NJ. He is also survived by his father Pablo Nieves of Forked River, and his sisters Milagros Millie Nieves and Norma and her husband Manuel Estevez all of Toms River, NJ, as well as a niece and a nephew. He also has a large extended family on his wifes side. A Liturgy of Christian Burial Service will be held on Sat. Feb. 17, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Marys R. C. Church in Denville, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ WWW.NORMANDEAN.COM.
