Raffaela Teske, 86, passed away at the Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville on Thursday November 1, 2012.
Raffaela was born in Nutley, NJ and moved to Denville in 1952. She was a Sewing Technician for the Singer Sewing Company in Elizabeth and Denville and then becoming a Bank Officer at the Peoples Bank and Chase Bank in Denville. After her retirement in 1989 she was an active volunteer for Saint Clare’s Hospital working in the Bargain Barn and Hospital Gift Shop. She was a volunteer for many years for the Saint Clare’s Hospital Harvest Festival. Raffaela was an active member of the Denville Senior Citizens Monday Group and served as Treasurer and participated in many Denville parades and Joey Bella Lip Sync programs.
Her friendly social personality will be missed by her friends at Franciscan Oaks and Denville Senior Citizens.
Raffaela was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Charles F. Teske, her sister, Frances Manfready, and her two brothers, Alfonso (Frank) Serio and Salvatore (Jim) Serio.
Raffaela is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Diana and Mark Brueche, her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Mary Ann Teske, her grandson, Christopher and his wife Kristina Luciano, her grandson Robert Luciano, and her great granddaughter, Isabella Luciano. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in law, Martin and Ruth Serio, Robert and Elisa Serio and many nieces and nephews.
Raffaela’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please share a memory of Raffaela on website), on Friday November 9th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Francis Chapel Denville, NJ, entombment at Locust Hill Cemetery Mausoleum Dover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday November 8th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations in her name be made to the Denville Fire Department Association 2 Indian Road, Denville, NJ 07834.
