Dorothy A. Yacomelli (nee Ayling) died on January 1, 2007, at Care One in Parsippany following a long illness, she was 89.
Dorothy was born in Schultz Ville NY and has resided in the home, which she built together with her husband in Denville for over sixty years.
Dorothy worked at Morris Catholic High School as the Director of Food Service for over twenty-five years retiring in 1983. Dorothy also worked with her daughter at the Denville Dance and Arts Studio as a receptionist.
Dorothy was active with the Rockaway Senior Citizens as the Trip Director. She also loved to bake and crochet.
Surviving Dorothy is her husband of sixty-eight years Alfred, daughters Nadine and her husband George Sharp, Ellen Mascia, and Lisa Yacomelli. Grandchildren Cara Lynn, Melissa, Lynette, Johnine, Lawrence, and Alfred Joseph. Great-Grandchildren Jeffery, Ashton, Abby, Emmy, Livy, Ciara, Vanessa, Serena Dorothy, and Steven Michael. Also surviving is her brother Thomas Ayling Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Dorothy on Friday January 5, 2007 at 10:00am at St Catherine of Sienna Church in Mountain Lakes. Visiting will be held on Thursday January 4, 2006 from 4-8pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville NJ 07834,www.normandean.com
