Carolyn Simpson Norris Grandma Lyn 86, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend DENVILLE Carolyn S. Norris died on Sunday, November 19, 2006 peacefully in her home in Denville. She was 86 years old. Lyn was born on May 11, 1920 in Upper Montclair to Harry W. Simpson and Clara Frost. She grew up with her brother, Harry and three sisters, Claire, Billy and Skippy, but spent most of her life in Denville, NJ. Being a woman of many trades, she worked as a switchboard operator at Saint Claires Hospital, the first secretary of Morris County Board of Realtors and a supervisor of the mailroom at County College of Morris. She was also a volunteer and one of the founding members of the Church of the Savior in Denville and a Girl Scout Leader in Denville. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Langdon Norris; her older sister, Claire Jordon; her two sons, Lang Norris and his wife, Linda and Rick Norris and his wife, Debby; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth (Lizzie), Rikki & Adam Norris, Kerra Lyn Corio, Jessy & Mandy Crothers, Langdon, Christian & Jacob Norris and Rebecca Coleman; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her loving pets Sheba, Annie and Pepsi. Grandma Lyn was an unforgettable soul with stories of her past, always present in her endeavors. To name a few, fond memories of her brother and sisters growing up, friends and family at Deer Lake, her schemes to outwit her children or her grandchildrens antics were among her favorites. Her feisty, comedic, loving personality will be missed by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Peters Village, 170 Diamond Spring Road, Denville, New Jersey 07834. Memorial Services will be held at the Church of the Savior (155 Morris Avenue, Denville) on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 10 am. Burial to follow at Denville Cemetery.
