Obituary of Laberta M. Lewis

Laberta Lewis passed away on Tuesday Oct. 31, 2006 at the Morris Hills Center in Morristown, NJ.
Mrs. Lewis was born July 10, 1912 in Tinicum, PA daughter of the late George and Minnie Strouse. She graduated from Lambertville High School in 1928. She moved to Boonton in 1938 and was an active member in the First Presbyterian Church. In 1970 she moved to Denville was a member of the Denville Community United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Womens Society and the Priscilla Circle, and was a member of the Denville Seniors Club.
Her late husband Edward passed away in 1968, her siblings, Edward, Samuel, Dora, and Anna all died previously.
She leaves her three children, Dorothy Hamilton of Denville, Gladys Mazzei of Cosby, TN, and Gordon Nicholson and his wife Nancy of The Villages, FL. Five grandchildren and spouses, Dale and Janet Hamilton of Burke, VA, Joanne and Gary Kehmna of Stanhope, NJ Gerard Mazzei of Cosby, TN, Steven and Denise Nicholson of Belle Is., FL, and Shari and David Chuchla of Mt. Dora, Fl, survive her. Nine great grandchildren, Andrew, Peter, Mary, and Matthew Hamilton, Scott and Julia Nicholson, Chase, Nicholas, and Alison Chuchla survive her. She leaves several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations to the Memorial Fund at Denville Community United Methodist Church 190 Diamond Spring Rd., Denville, NJ 07834 or the First Presbyterian Church of Boonton 513 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ 07005 would be appreciated.
