Marinus DeYoung, 83, died on Sunday October 29, 2006 at the Saint Clares Hospital, Denville, NJ. Mr. DeYoung was born in Clifton, NJ and was a resident of Rockaway Borough for 60 years. Mr. DeYoung served in the United Sates Army during World War II. He was part owner and operator of the Pequannock Feed and Fuel Oil Co. for many years retiring 18 years ago. He was a member of the Rockaway First Presbyterian Church for 43 years serving on various committees, an avid Golfer and member of the Peace Pipe Country Club, and a family man. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Virginia Hargreaves DeYoung, his children, Marinus W. DeYoung and his wife Marcia of Byram Township, NJ, Wendy Kimble and her husband Daniel of Cresco, PA, Glenn W. DeYoung of Jefferson Township, NJ, his grandchildren Nicole Kimble Guide and her husband Garrett, Kristin Kimble, Kerrie and Lindsay DeYoung, his great grandchildren Madison Rose, Carleigh Alexis, and Ryler Thomas Guide, His brother Pete DeYoung of Pequannock, NJ, His sisters, Alice DeYoung, Pearl Densel and her husband William all of Wayne, NJ, Marie Hooper of Mt. Arlington, NJ, and his sister in law, Margorie Reichert of Pompton Plains, NJ and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at the Rockaway First Presbyterian Church 35 Church Street, Rockaway, NJ on Thursday Nov. 2nd at 10:00a.m. Interment at the Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday Nov. 1st from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com.
