Kathleen M. (McCarthy) Flartey died on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, at age 64.
The daughter of the late Joseph McCarthy and Pauline (Rust) McCarthy, she was born in Morristown and grew up and lived most of her life in Denville.
A graduate of Caldwell College, she had worked as an elementary school teacher, education director and Vocational counselor.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Roger, son Brian of Gibbstown, daughter Tara DiGiacomo and husband Dennis of Stanhope, and four grandchildren: Cody Flartey, and Darren, Derrick, and Angelena DiGiacomo.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 25 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville (www.normandean.com).
Friends and relatives are invited to meet at the funeral home on Thursday, October 26 at 9:30 AM, and then proceed to the Denville Cemetery for graveside services at 10:00am
