Norman DeanNorman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, New Jersey 07834 (973) 627-1880 Daily Record 1x Friday with picture Neighbor News David William Stagg., 60, passed away on October 24, 2012 surrounded by his adoring family and friends in the comfort of his own home after a courageous 2 year battle with brain cancer. His valiant fight, his grace and positive attitude were an example to all. Dave grew up in Whippany and Sea Bright, NJ and was a longtime resident of Lake Telemark in Rockaway Township. He worked at Gearheart Chevrolet for over 33 years and, for 20 years, was Manager of the Body Shop. Dave was loved and respected by so many for his honesty, integrity and generosity. He gave of himself whenever he could. For many years, he served on the Church Council at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and assisted in coaching various baseball teams while his sons were growing up. He was an avid fisherman and greatly enjoyed annual family fishing trips to Canada. A true animal lover, he shared many joyful hours with the family’s dogs over the years. Dave was very gifted mechanically was is known for his ability to fix just about everything. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him. Dave was predeceased by his parents, William and Ruth Stagg. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lynne, his two sons David Jr. and Brian all of Rockaway, his brother Chris and nephew, Christopher of Whippany, his sister-and brother-in-law Judi and Pat Matarazzo and sister-in-law Debbie Cramer, all of Rockaway and nephew Gary Smolaga of Middletown, NY. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday October 28th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com (please share a memory at website). All are invited to attend funeral services on Monday October 29th at 11am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 508 Green Pond Rd., Rockaway, NJ.
