Obituary of John David Zanone

John David Zanone, 89, died on Wednesday Sept. 13, 2006 at his home in Spring Hill, Fla. John was born in New York City and had lived in Jersey City before moving to Spring Hill in 1978. He had been a 1st Lieutenant in the cavalry in the US Army during WWII. John had been a professional Fire Fighter for Jersey City Fire Department for many years retiring in 1977. He had been a member of the V. F. W. Post # 10209 as well as the German American Club both in Spring Hill. His wife Romayne died December 11,1982. He is survived by his children Romayne Sanzo of Pompton Lakes and John D. Zanone Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Towaco, as well as his four grandchildren Gregory, Samuel, Robert, and Michelle Zanone, and his sister Lillian Vogt of Honesdale, Pa. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday Sept. 17, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
