Obituary of Warren H. Nagel

Warren H. Nagel, Sr., age 85, died peacefully in his sleep at Virtua Hospital on September 12, 2006.
He was born November 5, 1920, in Jersey City, New Jersey, son of Ludwig J. and Elsie Nagel. He graduated from Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City in 1939 and spent his summers in the Indian Lake area of Denville.
Warren married H. Margaret (Peggy) Branch in 1944 and moved to Denville in 1947. They relocated to the Indian Lake area in 1957 and lived there until relocating to the Masonic Home of NJ in Burlington. He spent the majority of his working career with Jersey Central Power and Light Co.
While living in Denville, Warren was active in Little League and Hub Lakes Sports and was known around town by his signature ball cap and pipe. He loved his NJ Giants.
Warren was a member and Past Master of St. Johns Lodge, No. 1, F&AM, Mountain Lakes, New Jersey and just received his 50 year pin. He also served as Grand Chaplain in 1989-1990.
Warren is predeceased by his parents and son, Warren H. Nagel, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, and two daughters, Elizabeth (Seymour) Herskovitz and Joann (Floyd) Nesbitt, four grandchildren: Michael J. (Kristin) Ramos, Beth (Randy) Scioli, Alison Magnotti-Nagel and Michelle Magnotti-Nagel; and five great-grandchildren.

One of Warrens great-grandchildren suffers from this nervous system disease.
Masonic services will be held by St. John's Lodge on Sunday Afternoon at 4:00 PM
Family visitation will be Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday Sept. 18, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
