Sophie Ward, 87, died on September 10, 2006 at the Saint Clares Hospital, Denville, NJ.
Mrs. Ward was born in Newark, NJ was a resident of Irvington, NJ and moved to Denville, NJ in 1991. Mrs. Ward was employed at the Shop Rite in Maplewood, NJ for 20 years retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Denville Senior Citizens.
Her husband Thomas F. Ward predeceased Mrs. Ward in 1992, she is survived by her three sons, Thomas R. and his wife Dolores of Denville, NJ, Michael and his wife Barbara of Union, NJ Raymond and his wife Roberta of Kirkland, WA, and one daughter Dolores Petti of Marlboro, NJ, eleven grandchildren and ten Great grandchildren and one sister Stephanie Skupien of Coral Springs, FL
The funeral will be conducted from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ (on line condolence at www.normandean.com) on Thursday Sept. 14th at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Marys Church Denville, NJ Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday Sept. 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Denville Fire Dept. 2 Indian Road, Denville, NJ 07834.
