Obituary of Eric C. Long

Eric C. Long, 86, died on Thursday Sept.7, 2006 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville, NJ.
He was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on December 25, 1919 to Frank and Ione Ericsson Long. He later he moved to New York City and finely moving to Denville, NJ in 1964.
Eric had been a machinist for many years for Great Eastern Brass Works of Long Island City, before changing careers and he became a Clerk for A.I.S.O. Automobile Insurance Company in New York City retiring in 1981.
He had been a long and faithful member of the Secular Order of the Third Order of St. Francis at St. Stanaslous Albert Friary in Oak Ridge, NJ.
He had also been a member of the Shoot the Breeze Club of the Denville Senior Citizens.
His wife of 54 years Flora Bruni died September 29, 2005.
He is survived by a niece Roberta Roedel of Ocean, NJ.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Monday Sept. 11, 2006 at 9:30 AM for a 10:30 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Marys R. C. Church in Denville, NJ.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM.
