Florette Anne Lesniewski, 75
Florette Lesniewski, 75, peacefully passed away on Monday October 15, 2012, with her family by her side; husband Paul Lesniewski, son Stephen Lesniewski and his wife Chi and daughter Anne Lesniewski-Fantini and her husband David.
Florette was born on Flag Day, June 14, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY to George Merli and Margaret Stockton-Merli. She was the first born of eight siblings – three brothers: Wayne, Bruce and Glenn and four sisters: Wanda, Georgette, Leslie and Merl. In the late 1950’s, the Merli family moved from the Brooklyn to the "country" - Boonton, NJ.
Florette and Paul were married in 1961 and settled at Lake Arrowhead in Denville, NJ in 1966 where she became an active member of the Lake Arrowhead Women’s Auxiliary and worked as an Administrative Accounting Assistant for both Prudential Insurance and Weichert Realtors. She also graduated from the County College of Morris with an Associate’s Degree in the 1980’s while working full-time and raising her family.
Florette’s interests included sewing, gardening, drawing, reading and spending time with her two grandchildren, Abbigael, and Benjamin. Florette also sang as an Alto with the NJ Conservatory of Music in Mountain Lakes, NJ for three years from 2001 to 2003.
A memorial visitation and service will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Florette on website),on Saturday October 27, 2012 from 2-4pm.
Donations in Florette’s name may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ.
