Andrew Rocco Mucci, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2014 at his home in Denville, NJ. He was born in Chicago, Il. and stayed there until 1954 when he relocated to Queens, NY. In 1977 he and his family moved to Garfield and later moved to Denville in 1986. He proudly served his country during Korean War with the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked as a Custom Tailor until he found his calling as a Computer Programmer for many different industries including banking and medical. Andrew had been a very active member of St. Mary's R.C. Church where he was a past Acolyte and Lector and took part in the Nocturnal Adoration Society. He was also a member of the Senior Mens Club and the Shoot the Breeze Club of Denville, where he was president for several terms. Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend, Vincenza E. Mucci (1999) and his only brother, Carl Mucci; Andrew is survived by his loving children, Jeannette Mucci Tyahla and her husband Jeffrey, Andrew Rocco Mucci III and his wife Susan, and Christopher James Mucci and his wife Lucy; his adored and cherished grandchildren, Ashley Samantha, Ariel Sabrina, Andrew Rocco Mucci IIII, Gianna Vincenza, and Christopher James Mucci, Jr.; and a close longtime family friend Edward G. Greene as well as other family and friends that will miss him dearly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 12th at 10 am at St. Mary's Church, Denville. Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday, December 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville.
