Joseph Loverro, 83, passed away on Friday, Dec. 5th, with his loving family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 10th at 10am at St. Bernards Parish, Rockaway. Entombment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in his memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to St. Jude Childrens' Hospital.
Joe was born in NYC to the late Dominick and Carmela. After his schooling, he proudly served his country as a US Marine during the Korean Conflict. Upon his honorable discharge, he married Helen Iacovino and the couple settled in Emerson, where they raised their family.
Most recently, he has resided in Fox Hills, Rockaway, where he made wonderful memories and friends.
Surviving is his wife Helen of 59 years; his daughter Phyllis, son Robert and his wife Allison; and his five adoring grandchildren Stephanie, Lauren, Lea, Daniel, and Eric.
