Gary W. Anderson, 63, passed away unexpectantly at home, on Tuesday, Novemeber 11th, following a brief illness. Friends and relatives may visit on Monday, November 17th from 6-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville.
Gary was born and raised in Union NJ. After high school, he attended Seton Hall, and then earned his medical degree at the UAG School of Medicine. He worked as a physician and most recently with Pfizer, for the past 13 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting with his dogs, fishing, volunteering his time at NJ Search & Rescue, where he taught wilderness first aid, and with the Riverdale Police Pistol Team teaching the youth program. His true passion was spending time with his best friend and loving wife at their house in Maine.
Predeceased by his parents Elsie and George Steele; he is survived by his loving wife Judith (nee Keating), his son Eric Anderson of Chiang Mai, Thailand; stepsons Mark Dwyer and his wife Alane of Denville and Michael Dwyer and his wife Kelley, Key West Florida; his loyal canine companions Jake and Millie; his uncle and aunt John and Mary Bender; cousins Bill and Kathy Bender, Lee and Leeann Bender and John and Joanie Bender; brother and sister in law Jack and Joyce Coady, niece Samantha and Dan Perkins; and many other loving friends and colleagues.
