I knew Kathryn in middle school and part of high school. She was a caring and sweet person. I am so sorry for you loss. These things should never happen to people so young. She had her whole life to do GREAT things. It is a tragedy that this happened so early. I again, am incredibly sorry for your loss.

I met Katie a few summers ago and right away I could tell she was a very outgoing person. When i heard what had happened i was in disbelief. Katie was a beautiful girl always was full of enery, had a smile on her face no matter what. The summers I had spent with her were probably the best memories I've ever had growing up and will always be remember. Katie's energy, spirit and inner strength was always such a bright light, whose glow touched the hearts of so many people. Like the Olympic flame we have witnessed these past days, her light will never go out - it has been passed on person to person, heart to heart, and will reside in all of us forever. Our two Katie's were such close friends over the years, learning, growing, exploring and experiencing the lives and times of two young girls who grew to be two beautiful, intelligent and loving young women - a treasured gift to both of our families. Every memory I have with Katie is a happy one, and I’ll always have those to hold onto. I'll never forget the times Katie, Tony, Mandy, and I all spent together at Grandma and Grandpa's growing up: the matching outfits Grandma made us wear for pictures, all the times we snuck cookies at night after they went to bed, playing chicken in hotel pools, running around amusement parks.
Katie grew up to be a truly beautiful person inside and out and I loved having someone in my life that was always so optimistic and happy. I know how much she helped my sister get through hard times (mostly because she called me like a mad woman if anything seemed wrong) and cannot begin to thank her love and concern. Laura, Richie, Tony, Amanda, Kyle, and Jamie- I love you all so much and I'm glad you all have each other to get through this. Katie will always be in my heart forever.

Katie was a one and only. She was so beautiful on the inside and outside. She always had the best advise and intentions and always wanted to help everyone else. I cant believe that she is gone. Katie touched so many peoples hearts and shined through the darkness no matter what the situation, ahe always had a smile. Personally, katie was my angel and always will be. No matter the distance or years since our last visit we always kept in contact and shared all our deepest thoughts,secrets,dreams, morals and everything about eachothers lives. So many times i would be going through a hard time or i would be uspet, katie was always called first.she gave me the best advise and no matter what ,she would bring me up when i was down. Without her there is a lot i wouldnt have overcame and everyday of my life i feel blessed to call her my closest friend. Katie had the deepest love for her family that they will never know. We would talk forever about jamie and kyle and aunt Laura and uncle richie.how much she looked up to tony,and how much she appreciated and loves grandma jill and grandpa steve. Katie was special to everyone who had the blessing of having her. She will be missed incredibly by so many people. My strongest condolences to the family.we have lost two amazing people in the last few years. Its nothing we should have to go through but katie and my dad. Michael oswalt, were needed for bigger things. God has a better plan for them. Katie will be missed so much but i know she will continue to be with us,protect us, and watch over us. Katie, my heart is still breaking at the news of your passing. I cannot put into words how devastated my family and I are with this news. You were such a beautiful girl, inside and out. I can't picture your face without seeing your gorgeous smile and those breathtakingly beautiful, twinkling eyes. You had a graceful ease about you that made one feel like they had always known you. You were a delight to talk to, with a joy of life that was infectious. My kids loved you like a big sister...whenever they saw you, there were many hugs and kisses and cuddles. You were always so helpful to me, doing whatever you could to make things easier. I admired how responsible and thoughtful you were. From the moment I met you, you had a special place in my heart...and you ALWAYS will. I hope that today you are in a peaceful, happy place and that you know how very much you were loved in the short time we were all blessed to have you in our lives.
Rich and Laura, Tony, Kyle and Jamie...I know what a treasure you have lost. I am so deeply sorry for all you are living through right now. You know that we are here for you, whatever we can do. My condolences go out to the McLemore/Schneider family. Katie was my family, she was my sister. She lived a beautiful life and was a beautiful girl. She was such a free spirit and taught all those around her, especially me, to live life, take chances, risks and to have no regrets. You made my middle school and high school years worth every minute. You have been through so much and you handled it better than any other person on this planet could have. I love you so much and will miss you even more. You were there for me and I know you would've been there for me for the rest of my life even if we haven't talked for years.
