Armond S. Onorati passed away at his home on Boonton Twp., NJ surrounded by his family on July 27, 2014
He was 94 years old.
Armond is registered as the first person born in Boonton Twp., NJ, where he lived his entire life as well as wintering in Florida.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a self-employed mason contractor his entire life before retiring at the age of 65.
Armond loved to garden and was an avid golfer and member of both the Rockaway River Country Club and the P.G.A. in Florida.
He was predeceased by his wife Julie Onorati in 1989, his daughter Carol in 1978, and by his brothers Rocco and Valentino.
Armond is survived by his daughters Camille Onorati of Denville, and Bunny Onorati of Boonton, NJ. His grandchildren Joseph, Lisa, Alex and David as well as his great grandson Joseph Anthony and his brothers Peter and Paul Onorati both of Boonton, NJ also survive him.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mt. Lakes, NJ on Thursday July 31, 2014 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Somerset Hills Mausoleum in Basking Ridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 1 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN.
