Robert "Bob" Schaper, 79, of Kinnelon, NJ, passed away on Sunday, June 8th, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd at 2 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Green Pond Rd., Rockaway NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Bob was born and raised in Brooklyn, graduating from Fort Hamilton HS, before moving to Long Island and graduated from LI Technical Institute (SUNY), NY. While living on LI, he worked for Republic Aviation and Grumman Aviation. After moving to NJ, he was employed by Elevator Products, in Little Falls, until his retirement.
Robert was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as Council Member and President, and Choir member. He was also a member Sons of Norway, Nor-Bu, Lake Telemark.
He is survived by wife: Dr. Joanne; sons Erik; Steven and wife Lynn; Geoffrey Zoeller and wife Nisha; grandchildren Olivia, Ahna, Samantha, Kyle, Julia, Ryan, and Anika. He is also survived by his sister Gerd Johansen, Northport, NY, nephews Ron and Harry and niece Ethel; sister-in-law Gail Guerin and husband Rick, Bedford, VA, niece Stefany, nephew Rick; brother-n-law Paul Stefany and wife Gladys, Milford, PA, nieces Ruth, Jessica and nephew Philip; beloved family and our constant and true dear friends.
