Jill grew up in Denville, NJ and attended Morris Knolls High School. She received a BS in Mathematical Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill which is where she met and fell in love with her husband, Edgar. They moved back to NJ after graduation, eventually settling in Morristown. Jill had a distinguished career in the insurance industry, the last 10 years spent at Crum & Forster in Madison where she was an Assistant Vice President and Actuary. She was an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society as well as a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Jill will be remembered as a loving and caring person who always put her family first. She was beautiful, clever, kind, funny, and so very smart. Jill was a meticulous planner and list maker, and was always the person to turn to for ideas about home remodeling, weddings, and vacation planning. She loved to travel with her family, particularly to Duck, NC and Walt Disney World. Her love of Disney even lead to a summer internship at the theme parks during college. She had a wide range of hobbies, interests, and talents that included music, photography, cooking, and gardening. Jill played trumpet and was in the marching band and the pep band while at UNC, performing at many football and basketball games, including NCAA tournament games. Jill was happiest when she was doing special things for her four children. She was a Den Mom for her son's Cub Scout Pack and she loved to plan family camp outs in their backyard. She excelled at putting together amazing birthday parties for her kids, including an Olympic themed party that had kids competing in outdoor events, and also a mustache themed birthday party that had kids pin the mustache on a large picture of the birthday boy. She reveled in planning these birthday parties for her kids, creating memorable holidays and summer vacations, and decorating their home with countless pictures of their smiling faces. Jill will be deeply missed by all those that had the privilege to have her in their lives. Aside from her immediate and extended family, there are many, many close friends, neighbors, and colleagues who were lucky enough to know Jill. She was so very thankful to all of these people for all of the love and support they gave to her and her family. The family is especially thankful to Safren McDonald, an angel sent from England, who has provided an abundance of loving care to the family over the past 2 years.
