It was but a short while ago that a customer came to the shop from the Mountain Lakes area. I mentioned not having seen Betty Ann is a long while and was wondering how she was doing. The customer replied that she had not seen her in a while. Then just following that conversation I read her obituary. I am truly sad and sorry for the family's loss. Betty was a customer of my shoe store for many years and my husband, Silvio (now also deceased) and I enjoyed serving and providing her with comfortable footwear for many years. We provided her with dyed shoes for many a family wedding amongst other shoe purchases. She is remembered by me with joy. I know she adored her family so very much and your having this close family tie does make missing her that much more intense. Please accept my symapthy for your great loss as I empathize with you. Sincerely, Helen Clemente

Betty Anne was my very first friend at five years of age. We lived two doors away from each other, outside of Phila.
We played on dirt mounds as our homes were just built. We stayed in touch. I attended her High School Graduation. where I met wonderful friends, I am still in touch.
I cherish knowing Betty Anne.
Love to her children and grand children at this difficult time.

Very sorry to hear about Betty's passing, I went to school with her son Wes. She was always so kind and I will never forget being sick with pnuemonia in gradeschool and she had Wes bring in a huge Santa (it was christmas time) and had our classmates all sign get well wishes for me. Such a warm heart and what a wonderful family and life she helped create. May she rest in peace.

We only got to see each other at MLHS reunions. You did such a great job of rescuing out last mid-50s reunion. We'll miss you, Betty Anne.
