Barry G. Halm,83, died on Monday May 12, 2014 at his home in the Indian Lake Section of Denville, NJ. He was born in Passaic, grew up in Lyndhurst and later lived in Hackensack before moving to Denville in 1964. He was an engineer and had worked in the Marketing Department for many years of Hewlett Packard – Agilent Corp. in Rockaway and later in Mt. Olive, NJ before retiring in 2000. He was a member of the King of Kings Lutheran Church in Mt. Lakes, NJ. He is a Life Member of the Denville Fire Department where he served as Chief in 1977. He is an Exempt Member of the Denville Fire Dept. and is a member on the NJ State Fire Chiefs Assoc. He has also been a member of the Indian Lake Community Club in Denville. He is predeceased by his Son Robert C. Halm on Jan. 1, 2014 as well as his infant daughter Susan Carol in 1966 and his sister Carolynn Hance in 1999. Barry is survived by his wife of 56 years Nancy Corkey Halm as well as his sons William (Kathy) of Stanhope and Steven (Theresa) of Dahlonega, GA. He is also survived by his daughter in-law Ellen Halm of Denville and his grandchildren, Christine and Anwar Yousef, Matthew Halm, Jaclyn and Timothy Hilty, Rachael Halm, Nicole Halm, Taylor Halm, Brian Halm, Shannon Halm and Daniel Halm as well as three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sat. May 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at King of Kings Lutheran Church 145 Rt. 46 West Mt. Lakes, NJ 07046.
