Born in Italy in 1919, Michael was one of eight children. At a very young age, his parents moved to the US where he was raised. After his schooling, he was drafted into the US Army, where he proudly served his country during WWII. He married Nancy Barberia and the couple settled in Rochelle Park to raise their family of four. After his honorable discharge, he graduated from Rutgers College, earning his BA in business. He entered Amloid Co., founded by his father in law Anthony Barberia in 1916. Together with his brother in law Joseph Barberia, they successfully managed the business which is still run by the family. Michael was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
