Warren Everett Rebell, 93 of Mountain Lakes, NJ passed away peacefully on April 30, 2014 at the home of his daughter.
Mr. Rebell was born September 26, 1920 in Springfield, New Jersey to Everett and Ruth Rebell. He received his Bachelor’s in Journalism from Rutgers University, and his Master’s in Business from New York University. He served in the army during the Second World War as a Major in the Signal Corps and was awarded both the bronze and silver medal. He was an avid ham radio operator and volunteered as the Civil Defense Coordinator for Mountain Lakes during the 60s. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Denville and the Salvation Army.
Mr. Rebell had a remarkable and award-winning career in advertising and marketing working for top firms in New York City for over 20 years before forming his own international agency, Rebell International, Inc. in 1974.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Margaret Ellen (Peggy) nee Peters, his son, Warren C., Daughter Wendie Blanchard and her husband Brian of Stillwater, NJ, daughter Judy Marinano of Byram, NJ, grandsons Noah Blanchard of Vernon, NJ and Ian Blanchard of Stillwater, NJ, Noah’s wife Susan, his great granddaughter Layla, and his older brother Gerbert Rebell of Miami, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Denville Community United Methodist Church, 192 Diamond Spring Rd. Denville, NJ on Saturday June 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
