Gregory Scott Walsh Gregory Scott Walsh, 47, of Stoneham, Texas, the youngest son of William and Margaret Walsh (deceased 1986), left his cherished family to be with his beloved God, on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Born in Glens Falls, New York, on November 20, 1966, Greg was Baptized at St. Alphonsus RC church, on the first Super Bowl Sunday, in 1967. The family relocated to Denville, New Jersey, in 1968. There, Greg attended St. Mary's RC school. He loved playing soccer, basketball, and baseball, from the town youth teams through his High School years, graduating from Morris Knolls High School in 1986. Greg moved to Texas in 1988, where he met Suzanne Hummer, whose family was originally from Phillipsburg, NJ. They were married in 1993, and have two sons, Casey and Cordell. Together, Greg and Suzanne formed Absolute Cabinets of Magnolia, Texas, specializing in high-quality custom kitchen cabinet design, construction, and installation. Suzanne was the designer and Greg was the master cabinet craftsman and installer. Greg was extremely dedicated to his entire family. 'Uncle Eggy' was the favorite uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. Greg was funny and witty, and often-times just goofy, willing to do nearly anything, if it would make you laugh! He was dearly loved by everyone. And, if something needed doing, and he was 8 states away… no problem… Greg was there, always dependable and more than happy to help anyone in need. He got that from his Mom and Dad. Greg even took time from their busy company work schedule, to build cabinets for his father's house in North Carolina, and his sister's house in New Jersey, and, over the years, for countless other friends and relatives. He would construct them in the shop in Texas, then load them on a truck and personally drive it to their homes, where he worked tirelessly and meticulously to install them. They were beautiful, and everything fit perfectly! Greg was a hard worker and a stickler for detail. And, with Greg, the job was not done, until it was perfect! Greg also had a passion for motorcycles. His sons became skilled motorcycle riders and Flat Track racers. Greg even built the boys a motorcycle racing course of their own. Greg was an expert mechanic who could fix nearly anything. He kept the bikes in prime operating condition. Greg is survived by his wife Suzanne, their sons Casey and Cordell, sister Linda Hogan and partner Michael DeVito of Parsippany, NJ, and Linda's four children Melinda Storicks and her husband Ken, and their children Alexis, Mason, Bailey, and Ethan of Garner, NC, Sarah Wielhouwer and her husband Robert, and their children Ashley and Joshua of Yanceyville, NC, Frank Hogan of NC, and Eileen Bayer and her husband Jared, and their son Jared Jr. of Pocono Summit, PA, brother Ken Walsh and his wife Irene, and their children, Melanie, Jennifer, and Dan of Randolph, NJ, sister Patricia Berg and her husband Magnus and their children Krista and Kailee, of Garner, NC, brother Kevin Walsh, sister Mary Covert and her husband Bill and their children Meghan, Shannon, Ryan, and Caitlin, of Denville, NJ, and sister Kerry Walsh-Stevenson of Raleigh, NC.
