Charlie and I are shocked. I just heard this morning. You know I know the depths of pain you are going through and will feel everyday for now on until you see your angel in heaven. We are so very sorry. Surround yourself with loved ones that will hold you up no matter what, especially loved ones that were an integral part of Cassie's life. Keep a special picture by your side and say Good Morning and Good Night to her each day and pretend..I mean BELIEVE.. she is by your side and with you everyday. It is the only way I have been able to survive and it may help you too. Your video tribute made me cry. She was such a beautiful, lovely woman..in fact, she was a little Jill. I saw you, exactly you as a child in all of them. I only met Cassie when you brought her up to Burtis Point as a baby. I think I was home from college for a weekend and you know back then I knew nothing of what it mean't to be a mother. You will hear from many that the pain will subside - it doesn't. It may get muted, but it never goes away - it becomes a part of you. However, in time that part will exist along side of remembering all the wonderful moments you had with her and with all the wonderful moments you will have with her son and your entire family. Our hearts go out to you, Robert and Brittany - and her entire family. Never stop talking about Cassie, even if it makes someone uncomfortable. She is with you always.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Cassie briefly at Bridges to Learning. She was very sweet and kind to everyone, especially the children. I remember her as always being bubbly , lively and fun to be around. I enjoyed working with her when I got to. I am so sad her life was taken away at such a young age. May she Rest In Peace and be an angel who will watch over you always.

Jill, There are just no words to truly express what you are going through.I know your pain. I can only tell you to feel what you feel when you go through your life, cry when you want to and as difficult as it is to face each day, do the best you can. It doesn't get easier with time, it doesn't get less painful. You just learn that this is your new normal. Your family will help so that you never hit the ground. And talk about Cassie...all the time...every day! Keep her spirit alive. She will always be with you....you will feel her. I know she is with Kristen and Kristen will wrap her in her wings! The Norman Dean Home for Funeral Services is just where you need to be. I will never forget the attention, care and love they provided for Kristen. Being there is the hug you will need to start this new chapter. I sing their praises every day. David Milne and the staff became part of the fiber of my life. My prayers and my love to Cassie and the family . She was an amazing soul and a warm heart. Even though I only knew her for a short period in time she managed to overtake my emotions in a matter of minutes of being around her and showed me more genuine kindness and genuine attention than almost anyone I know. She welcomed me into her home and allowed me to see the reasons why she became one of the most beautiful and unique souls I have ever encountered. Her spirit and energy were one of a kind, she had a halo on her head long before the day she was taken by the lord too soon. I remember she took this red pen and signed her “autograph” on the back of a receipt, she wrote “Cassie cat” in the most elegant cursive, it was one of the last times I saw her and she said “ this is just in case you miss me while I’m gone, plus it should be a collectors item someday”. I will now collect all the memories of you in my heart forever. I pray for the health and safety of your baby boy and all of your family in these times of tragedy. Until we meet again
