Frederic W. Davis, 87, passed away on Thursday March 27, 2014 in Morristown, NJ.
Frederic was born and raised in Northampton, MA and was a resident of Parsippany, NJ since 1968. He was an Eagle Scout. Frederic served during WWII in the United States Army Air Corp and in the Air Force during the Korean War, retiring with the rank of Major. He remained active in the Military Officers Association at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway, NJ. He was a Senior Systems Analyst for American Cyanamid for many years before retiring in 1990. He was a Mason at the Unity Masonic Lodge in Dalton, MA and also St. Johns Lodge Masonic Lodge #1 F & AM in Mountain Lakes, NJ. Always generous and thoughtful, Fred donated over 200 gallons of blood to the Red Cross over his lifetime. He had many varied interests from music to gardening to the most difficult jigsaw puzzles.
Frederic is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty H. Davis, his children, Kenneth W. Davis and his wife Karen, Nanci Morris and her fiancé Jon Burley, and Peter A. Davis and his wife Pam, his three granddaughters, Julie and Laura Morris and Elizabeth "Beth" Davis, and his sister, Sally D. Wright.
