Obituary of Sally Lee Kemp
Sally Lee Kemp, of Rockaway Borough, passed away peacefully with her loving family and closest friends by her side on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Dover. She was 60 years young.
Born in the Bronx, Sally was raised in Wharton. She graduated Dover High School and went on to work at Bell Telephone in Morristown. She met the love of her life, Gary, and they married on June 9, 1979. Together they settled down in Rockaway Borough and had an amazing life together. They loved to travel together, take trips on their motorcycle, and enjoy all that this world had to offer. They were the true definition of soulmates; it didn’t matter what they were doing, as long as they were together everything was right with the world. Sally was a phenomenal woman with a giant heart. She will always be treasured and remember in our hearts and souls.
Left to continue her legacy of unconditional love and laughter is her beloved husband of 40 years, Gary Kemp; her cherished twin sister, Linda Mercado; her caring in-laws, Linda Wood & Carl and Ken Kemp & Martha; her treasured cousins, Kathy Lettorale and Sam; her mother, Lucy Rosa; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and very dear and supportive friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 23rd from 2 – 6 pm with Funeral Service beginning at 5:30 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Memorial Donations are being accepted by way of www.inmemof.org to the American Lung Association. Please light a candle and leave a condolence and special memory of Sally.
