I was hoping that Charlie would be able to meet me again in Hoboken this May in our semi-annual get together. In the past thirty years, or so,
(I’ve lost track), we would meet in Hoboken at Stevens and keep each other updated on family events and reminisce about the past. He was disabled with that accident he had decades ago that precluded such things as skiing and tennis. Yet, when we met, he was a good soldier and never complained while we toured the campus, found a place for lunch and paid our respect to the old folks at the cemetery . . . our grandparents, his parents and our uncle. Not only did I enjoy our times together, but admired his good spirits. I will miss him this May and in the future.
