Barbara Haase, 88 on Wednesday, March 12, 2014
Barbara Haase of Boonton Twp, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12 at her home at Victoria Mews.
She was born and raised in Bloomfield, NJ. In her younger years she loved horseback riding. After her marriage to John L Haase, Jr. in 1949, they made Pompton Lakes, NJ their home. She was a member of the Eastern Star. The family moved to Denville, NJ in 1959. Barbara was active in the Cub Scouts and taught Sunday School at church. She worked at home doing typesetting and layout for a local newspaper. After her husband's retirement they moved to Whiting, NJ, where she spent her time volunteering for Meals on Wheels, knitting, gardening, and reading novels. After being widowed in 2006, she moved to Victoria Mews. They were married for 56 years.
Surviving are three sons: John and his wife Carol; Jay & Sue; and Jim & his wife Mary. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Kristen, Tim, Katie, Kimberly, Sara, and Dion. Funeral Services will be held at the Union Hill Presbyterian Church, 427 Franklin Rd, Denville, NJ at 11:15 am, Saturday, March 29.
