Felicia Olmstead, 81, passed away peacefully, on Monday, March 3rd surrounded by her family. Born in the Bronx, to Frank and Margaret Palermo, Felicia was one of 3 children. At the young age of 12 she met her neighbor, Joseph Olmstead, who would later become her husband. They settled in the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway in 1962, where they raised their family of five children. Felicia worked for Redmond Press and the Citizen for many years. She enjoyed her time at the family shore house; but above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Felicia is survived by her husband Joseph of 60 years; her children Debra Simpson (John), Patricia Dawdy (Stephen), Barbara Fenske (Michael), Joseph W. (Paul Di Pietro), and Thomas; her adoring grandchildren Danielle deRonde (Mark), Jason Simpson (Dawn), Lauren, Kellie and Robert Fenske, Christopher and Erika Dawdy, and Brandon Olmstead; three great grandchildren Dalene Dawdy, Michelina deRonde and Brantley Simpson; brothers Frank and Anthony (Irma) Palermo; and many more loving relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 7th at 10 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester.
