George became a good friend. We met him at the home of Charlie and June Patrick. When he was at Bard we saw him frequently and then at Lake Luzerne in the summers. He was fun and caring. I remember one instance when we were all in Florida watching a football game and Charlie became ill. Much to Charlie's protests Charlie was on his way to the hospital. George was always there for Charlie and June and their family. The last time we saw him we were having dinner on our balcony in Florida, he was full of stories and laughs, and of course Manhattans. Rest in Peace Good Friend, you had a gorgeous smile. Katie Patrick Lowis.

My deepest sympathy to Evelyn and family. My husband ,George, and I were good friends of George's at Drew. I used to call them my two Georges. George was best man at our wedding and we remained friends over the years attending reunions together and enjoying many laughs. I lost my George in 2012 so my hope now is that the two Georges are throwing around a baseball in heaven. Miss you guys. Love Peggy

Our prayers and thoughts are with George's family at this sad time. George was like an older brother to me, my brother Chuck and my sisters, Lynda and Wendy, our entire lives, and we absolutely adored him. He was a fixture at our house at Bard College and also up at our cabin in Lake Luzerne, NY, which he helped build with our Dad. George was very smart, generous, kind and funny and was the most loyal and devoted friend to our parents, Charlie and June Patrick, and for that we will always be grateful. I hope that he is pain free and at peace, and that he's with Mom and Dad right now, sitting at the piano and singing the old standards while enjoying a well deserved manhattan. God's speed, dearest George. We will love you forever......
