Obituary of Richard "Squeak" Kaden
Richard “Squeak” Kaden, of Denville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. He was 67 years young.
Born in Jersey City to the late Boreum and Theresa Kaden, he was one of two children. In 1971, he met his soulmate, Kathie at the 3rd park in Union City. In 1980 they were married and settled in Denville to raise their family in 1985. He made a successful career for himself as a Hospital Maintenance Worker in East Orange General Hospital, retiring after 26 years of hard work. An avid fisherman throughout his entire life, Richard enjoyed ice fishing, trout fishing, deep sea fishing, and crabbing. He also loved spending time listening to music, particularly Stevie Ray Vaughan, and watching his adored Yankees. His first priority in life, was his family. He was an amazing father and husband that will forever be treasured in our hearts and souls.
Left to keep his legacy alive is his beloved wife of 37 years, Kathie Cray-Kaden; his cherished sons, Michael (Candace) Cray-Kaden and Dylan Cray-Kaden; his caring brother, Henry “Henny” (Lori) Kaden; his loving niece, Chelsea; his treasured animals and best friends, Rambo and Misty; and his grand-pup, Sawyer.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 11th at 1 pm at Cedar Lake Community Clubhouse, 134 Cedar Lake East, Denville, NJ 07834.
