Helen Pergolizzi, age 91, beloved mother and grandmother ("Nonna") passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7th.
Helen was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 29, 1922. She lived in Piscataway (1964-1996) with her husband Joseph who passed in 1995. In 1996, she moved to Denville to be closer to her children.
Helen is predeceased by her loving husband Joseph, her daughter (Janet), her sisters (Fanny and Minnie) and her brothers (Joe and Victor).
Helen is survived by her daughter Geraldine Collins of Rockaway (husband Michael), her son Anthony of Roxbury (wife Donna), her brother Alfred LaRosa of Brooklyn (wife Josephine) and her 6 grandchildren (Michael, Christine, Alexander, Matthew, Ryan and John).
Helen will best be remembered for her love of family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and an occasional trip to Atlantic City.
Services will begin Tuesday, February 11, at 9:30 am at the Funeral Home for a 10:30 am Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Rockaway. Helen will be laid to rest beside her husband at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway following her funeral. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, February 10, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital in remembrance of her daughter who tragically passed away as a young child.
