Our dads are our heroes, real heroes, a huge part of our lives and our hearts, forever imprinted with their love and dedication. Onkel Olav was a dad to all of us growing up near him. Always kind, gentle and patient, with an assuring smile we were ok in a unsure world. There's no price we can put on growing up under the nurturing wings of men like him. Now the memories will be washed in tears for knowing you means missing you. But oh how grateful I am for that privilege..to have known you. Tusen takk Onkel Olav. Mr. Vedvik built out house in 1970. He was a wonderful carpenter and our house still is beautiful. sorry to hear of his passing,.

Truly, a kind and gentle man has passed.
I was proud to know him as a friend.
He was a leader by quiet example in his commitment to his family, his faith and his work, a brave patriot and thereby a role model for what any good man could hope to be.
His word was his bond and everybody knew it.
May the loving memories of a life so well lived console all who will miss him dearly.

Very sad to read that Mr. Vedvik has passed away. He built my home in 1966, and it is still strong and beautiful. Sympathies to the family.
