I just stumbled on this notice of Eugene's passing. He and I grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. We were the same age, and our families were very close. When my youngest brother Rudy was born, Eugene's mom was at our home every day helping out because my mom suffered terrible rhumetism. When Eugene worked at the casket company, he made a beautiful wooden plack for my mom that said "Fannie's Kitchen". My niece still cherishes it. My deepest condolences to Eugene's family. Ron and I were deeply saddened to hear Gene had passed away. We bowled with him for many years
on Thursday afternoons. He will be missed by everyone.
