Obituary of Sharon Milos
Please share a memory of Sharon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sharon Milos, of Denville, passed away after a long illness on Friday, February 17, 2017 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Boonton, she was a lifelong Morris County resident. She graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching and later received her Nursing License through the County College of Morris. She was a wonderful listener and counselor, devoting herself to home hospice care, office patient care, and later on specializing in facial toning and helping people look and feel their best; she took great pride in her career.
Sharon was an animal lover to the fullest, from dogs and cats to deer and squirrels and everything in between. She believed animals had just as much a right to live well as humans.
Anyone who knew Sharon, knows that she always looked her best. Whether it was to go food shopping or for a night on the town, she never dressed down for the occasion. She loved flowing dresses, caftans and sparkling jewelry. She was always eye-catching and, although not large in stature, gave meaning to the term “larger than life”.
She was a fierce defender of her family and loved every minute that she could spend with them. Sharon loved the sun and beaches, enjoying many years visiting Aruba with her adored family.
Sharon has left us with a legacy of class, good looks, and pure love that we will continue to cherish forever.
Predeceased by her treasured son, Christopher Milos, she is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Robert “Chip” Milos; her loving children, Sean Milos and Megan Valerio; her cherished grandchildren, Aaron and Aidan Milos and Christopher Valerio; her caring brother, Joseph D. Mahedy, Jr.; her precious Aunt and Godmother, Margaret Guiton; and many other extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 21st at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Public Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 20th from 1 – 4 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ.
