Anna “Nancy” Gallagher passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in Denville with her loving family by her side. She was 87 years young.
Born in Hoboken, she worked as a Secretary in the Lipton Tea Factory. She met and married her soulmate, Kenneth F. Gallagher and together they relocated to Denville to raise their family. Anna was a wizard at crossword puzzles. A devout Catholic, she was a proud member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Above anything else, her pride and joy was her adored family. Her legacy of love and family will continue to live on in our hearts and souls forever.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth in 2011, she is survived by her loving children, Michael Gallagher, Maureen O’Halloran and her husband Peter of Orlando, FL, Daniel Gallagher and his wife Patricia of Rockaway, Kenneth J. Gallagher and his wife Catherine of Atlanta, GA, Robert Gallagher and his wife Elizabeth of Rockaway, and Ann Marie McHugh and her husband Terry of Mt. Arlington; her cherished grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Kevin, Brian, Matthew, Peter and his wife Johanna, Jason, Shauna and her husband Nick, Kelly, Ryan, Emily, Victoria, Ashleigh, Patrick, Michelle, Tiffany, Chantel, Brooke, and Madeline; her adored great-grandchildren, Quinn, Teagan, Hannah, Kade; her caring sister, Florence Scognamiglio; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat., February 11th at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s RC Church, 15 Myers Ave., Denville, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown. Public Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10th from 4 – 8 pm. Please leave a condolence and special memory for her family.
