Veronica “Ronnie” Abrams passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11. She was 64 years young. She was born in Bronx, NY and has been a Rockaway resident for 30 years. Veronica has served her community working as an administrative assistant for the Rockaway Borough Public Board of Education for 15 years.
Veronica was extremely talented and well diverse having many hobbies and interests. Some of them being reading, cooking, sewing and traveling; especially to the beach and the mountains. She loved playing tennis and dancing. Above all, she was an amazing wife and mother. She had a kind and loving heart, always putting her family above all else.
She leaves happy memories to her beloved husband of 32 years, David Abrams; cherished daughters Morgan and Alexandra Abrams; brothers John, Joseph, Patrick and James Burke; sister Barbara Sherwood; and many more loving relatives and dear friends.
Friends and relatives may visit on Friday, January 20 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 10 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 63 E Main St., Rockaway. In her memory donations may be made to the good works of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
