Obituary of Lorraine M. Zieba

Lorraine "Lorrie" M. Zieba, of Denville, passed away peacefully at home with her son and grandson at her bedside on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
Born in Greenwich, Connecticut, Lorrie was a graduate of Greenwich High School. Married to Henry Zieba for almost 60 years, she was a proud Navy wife who traveled with her husband as he fulfilled his 21 year Naval career. They eventually settled down in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, until relocating to Denville in 1966.
Lorrie was an avid athlete who excelled in both tennis and golf. She was a longtime member of the Picatinny Golf Club where she was honored three times for hitting a "hole in one".
Predeceased by her husband, Henry "Hank" Zieba, her daughter, Linda Shelley, her brother, George Danko, and her sister, Rena Mosco, left to keep her legacy alive is her loving son and caregiver, Henry "Skip"; her adored sister, Joan Bensinger; her caring son-in-law, Alan Shelley, Sr. and his wife Jeanne; her cherished grandchildren, Alan Shelley, Jr. and his wife Lauren, Kyra Mooney and her husband Robert, Ryan Shelley and his wife Colleen, Kyle Shelley and his wife Caitrin, Joey Zieba, Justin Zieba, Zachary Zieba, and Tiffany Zieba; her treasured great-grandchildren, Alexa Shelley, Stella Mooney, Lincoln Shelley, and Emmett Shelley; and many other extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 21st from 2 – 4 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22nd at 10:00 am at St. Virgil Parish, 250 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ 07950. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you kindly make a donation in Lorrie's memory to support her grandson to the Joey Zieba Fund, Attn: William Egbert, 25 Little Lane, Wharton, NJ 07885.
