Sidney S. Legg, of Denville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Andover Subacute and Rehab. He was 92 years old.
Sidney was born and raised in the Oranges. In 1977 Sidney and his wife, Mary, moved to Denville where they raised their family. He made his contributions to the community every day while working at Denville Hardware.
Sidney fought for his country in WWII as a part of the U.S. Army and was a Prisoner of War in Germany for 10 days. He had an artistic talent which was exhibited in his paintings and needlepoint artwork. One of his many interests was collecting stamps and coins from all around the world.
Predeceased by his son G. Randolph Legg; those he leaves behind to celebrate his life are his beloved wife of 48 years, Mary Legg (Milbauer); grandchildren Christine, Sandra and Sherry Legg; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family, especially Taka and Joe Frommelt and Lynnie and John Donahue.
Memorial Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 20th from 5 -7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services. A Funeral Service will take place following the visitation at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation and Dementia Foundation by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please leave a condolence and share a memory with his family.
