I am so very sorry for your loss. A scripture that comes to mind is Isaiah 25:8 where God promises to "swallow up death forever" and "wipe the tears from all faces." May his comfort help you through your time of loss.

Dear Candy,
It was with great sorrow that I read about Rich's passing last week!
My heart, sympathies, and prayers go out to you, and all the members of your family, for the loss of your beloved Richard.
Rich passed way before his time and God had a purpose for calling him so soon and now he is at peace.
For certain, Rich has now joined all of our previously departed Chi Phi Fraternity, Delta Xi Chapter, Brother's who are residing within the heavenly boundaries of the Fraternity "Chapter Eternal" where they play some soccer, shoot some pool in the Fraternity House Game/TV Room, and just maybe enjoy some of Granny Queen's high-rise bisquits/muffins for a snack.
While my time for interacting with Rich and you was limited to returning as a Wesleyan Alum, Class of 1970, and chaparoning one or more fraternity house parties or a Fall or Spring Formal during the time period when the two of you were living your Wesleyan Experience together, my most recent experience at Phil Severing's home, earlier this year, cemented in my mind just how special Rich was to you and all those at Phil's house that day.
I know how fortunate I was to have had the opportunity to spend time with Rich, and you, shooting the breeze together, and, will always be thankful that Phil provided the opportunity to do so that day!
Rich is, was, and always will be a special person to those who knew him best. I'm blessed to have known him for forty minutes, known of him for 40 years, and one day will know him eternally.

I had the pleasure of working with Rich at Solo Cup and at Dart Container. I do not believe I ever saw Rich without his trademake smile. He had a way of brightning every meeting. I miss working with Rich, he was a talented salesperson, but even more he was a wonderful man.

Blessings and grace to Rich's entire family at this trying time of loss. Rich and Candy were people that we first met when attending Church of the Saviour. Their welcoming is what made us choose this wonderful parish. Rich will be missed by everyone, but his presence will always be in our hearts. Rich's faith was exceptionally strong and inspiring to others. RIP dear Rich.

When I first attended Church of the Saviour, Rich was the one who came forward and welcomed me, and later, my husband, Leslie, to the parish. I will miss his kind words and gentle demeanor. God bless you, Rich, and all your family.

We are so sorry for your loss Candy, Diana, Michael and family. Your Rich was the kindest, most congenial, loving man we've had the great pleasure to meet. He was the first person we were greeted by at COTS way back in '96. Always interested in our kids and what was new with them. It always meant so much. He will always be remembered as a "once in a lifetime" friend. Your husband and dad's spirit will live on thru you and the live's he touched. Thinking of you all.

God bless Rich's soul. Bless his family.
My sincere condolences on the untimely passing of The Wags. I am honored and proud to have known him and Candy. He is, was, and always will be known as a great brother to me and the whole Chi Phi family.
I was especially touched that Rich reached out to me with questions and thoughts of his journey. As a cancer survivor and Nuclear Medicine technologist, I was able to trade thoughts and feelings with Rich of our trials and tribulations. And for those moments I am and always will be deeply touched.
To his whole family my thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless all of you.

Dear Candi and the rest of the Wagoner family,
Debbie and I send our most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to you. We both have fond memories of Rich and Candi during our Wesleyan years....to us you are one.
My thoughts of Rich carry the extra memories of being soccer teammates and fraternity brothers. I was so glad I got to see Rich again this past Spring at Phil Sievering's house.
