I was "Shelly's" age in school and played "store" in their basement. Felicia and my little sister became classmates and friends. As a child when I went to see their new baby, Mrs. Mercadante's perspective about the baby was wonderful and her message enriched with love. She spoke to me about our beloved Mary such a source of comfort and example. My Mom was motherless so Mrs. Mercadante's teaching was a priceless gift to me. May God continue to bless us with all of the fruits of the Spirit.

Noreen, I am sorry for your loss. I did not know your mother, but I see the daughter that she raised and she would be very proud to see what a fine caring woman you have become. Mothers don't always show or say loving things they just expect their children to know them. I am saying to you for your mother, you a precious woman and I am so very proud of you.Reflect on the good memories and share those with your siblings and nieces and nephew.

One of the first trips I took as youngster was to attend Martha's wedding to my Uncle Jim. That was the first time this Jersey City kid had been on actual farm. I went on a hayride with real horses. That was quite a trip for a 5-year-old city boy from Mallory Avenue.

Dearest Felicia-- I hold so many great memories of conversations with your mom sitting at your kitchen table from when we were growing up. You are such a kind and faith-filled woman, like your mom, --and I feel so blessed to have shared in your family. Wishing you peace and joy in remembering all the love and memories, and in knowing she is with Our Lord. May your whole family have strength and comfort during this time. Love You!

Aunt Martha was always a big part of our lives growing up. She was our aunt, but also Karl's godmother, my Confirmation sponsor and Kenneth's occasional consultant. We always looked forward to our New Jersey "city" cousins coming to visit us on the farm. Mom and Aunt Martha always attended their St. Mary's class reunions together and looked forward to it. Now they can "catch up" on the last 25 years they've been apart. That will be one long late night talk! Our prayers are with all of you.
