We knew each other for many years and although most of them living so far apart, you were someone who made an impact in my life. You were one in a million Thel! I will never forget the times we worked together and the many conversations we shared. You were someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand, a listening ear and were never lost for some straightforward advice! Even though we didn’t talk as often as I would have liked, when we did, it was so easy to pick up right where we left off – that was the type of person you were. When we would talk, we could talk for hours. You had a way in making others feel at ease and never failed to smile and greet others with a friendly hello! Like others have written here and so true, you had a way of making others laugh with your wonderful sense of humor and no doubt about it - your own laugh was contagious. You had a gift of putting life in the right perspective and never seemed to sweat the small stuff. You were a very caring, gentle and generous person! The salt of the earth! I am so grateful to have known you and to have been able to share sometime with you in Arizona this past year. Your courage and strength as you battled cancer was an inspiration to me and others. You will forever remain in my heart, in my thoughts and prayers! I will miss hearing your voice and your laughter. Until we meet again, please watch over us all with that unforgettable twinkle in your eye! Love you Thel!

Stephanie and Maddy: My prayers go out to you during this difficult time. I met your mom at the company picnic and her smile will remain in my eyes forever. She was such a fighter and very strong woman. I am really happy you were able to be there with her during her last weeks of life. Looking forward to seeing you when you come "home".

Hi mommy, my fondest memories of you are from when I was a little girl at the seashore enjoying summer vacations. Collecting seaglas and going on rides together on the boardwalk. Although we didnt see each other alot as the yrs progressed, I loved our telephone calls. And I will miss your sense of humor and words of wisdom.

Words cannot express my sadness. Thelma, you were great friend, my gardening mentor, always willing to lend a helping hand even though you had your own projects going on. A generous soul.
I will miss our talks about the crazy squirrels & chipmunks digging out our newly planted flowers, the barricades we built to keep the deer away and the latest Stephen King novel.
We associate certain sounds with a particular time, event or season. Like in the warm months, the mowing of a lawn, children playing ball, fireworks. For me, that would include your laugh. When I heard that, I knew you were close by. I will keep that thought that you are still close by in the neighborhood, as your presence will always here on West Glen Road. I will truly miss you; till we meet again.
And as you always said to me, and as I say to you now…..”See ya in the hood”. <3
