Josephine “Jo” Impellizeri, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, she moved to Dunellen at the age of 18. It was there that she met and married the love of her life, Anthony “Tony I”. Together, they moved to Bound Brook to raise their family. Jo graduated from the Traphagen School of Fashion with a degree in Life Study, History, and Fashion Design. Art was her true passion in life; she specialized in oils and pastels. Her artwork can be found in many private collections all around NJ. She was a devoted member of St. Clement Pope & Martyr Church in Dover. Above anything else, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always put her family first and cherished her time with her grandchildren. She will forever remain in our hearts and souls.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony, her siblings, Frank Cascio and Jennie Fraschilla, and her grandson, Anthony Impellizeri, she is survived by her loving children, Paul (Victoria) Impellizeri, Neal (Michelle) Impellizeri, and Dina (Daniel) Cullen; her treasured grandchildren, Marie (Daniel) Allesandrini, Veronica Impellizeri, Daniel (Megan Lade) Cullen, Michael Impellizeri, Paul Impellizeri, William Cullen, Joseph Cullen, and Neal Impellizeri; her dear great-grandchild, Daniel Allesandrini; her caring brother, Sam Cascio; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 19th at 10:00 am at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough. Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18th from 3-5 & 7-9 pm at the Funeral Home.
