Obituary of Colleen Mary Colombrito

Colleen Mary Colombrito (O'Brien) passed away at Morris View Nursing Home on February 2, 2016, at the age of 82.
Born in Elizabeth, she lived in East Orange until 1966, when she moved to Denville, and then finally to Mt. Arlington, NJ in 1995.
Colleen graduated from Clifford J. Scott high School in 1952 and was awarded the best female athlete for her class. She worked for many years as an employment counselor for the Pat Shea Personnel Agency until she retired in 1990. Colleen was a member of the East Orange Women's Club, and after moving to Denville, served on the Harvest Festival steering committee in 1972, and volunteering for many years after that. Colleen loved to sing and entertain along with her husband.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Susan M. Colombrito in 1988.
Colleen is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas F. Colombrito of Mt. Arlington, as well as her children Michele of Kearny, Thomas of Denville, Brian of Chesapeake, VA and Michael of Virginia Beach, VA. Her grandchildren Jennifer, Megan, Michael, Katelyn, Ryan and Thomas and her Great Grandson Nicolas also survive her.
Funeral services will begin at 9am on Tuesday February 9, 2016, at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 and then going to St. Mary's Church in Denville, NJ for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial. Committal services will follow at Denville Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8PM.
