Peter Dzwonczyk, 91, of Denville passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015, in Parsippany, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Mayfield, PA, Peter settled in Garfield, NJ in 1956 and moved to Denville in 1986 to be close to his daughter. He retired from Fields Plastics in Lodi. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel in Passaic. An avid bowler, Peter won many awards and trophies. He loved baseball and was a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. Above all, he was a very quiet, family oriented man who will be greatly missed.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lillian (nee Relak) in 2005 and his brothers, Joseph, Michael, Basil (Wash), and Nicholas, Peter is survived by his adored daughter Eva Croneberger of Denville, his caring brother Stanley Dzwonczyk of Carbondale, PA, his loving sisters-in-law Mary Dzwonczyk and Loraine Wieczorek, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces.
Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Cathedral Chapel, 415 Lackawanna Ave., Woodland Park, NJ 07424 on Wednesday, September 30 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Denville Cemetery, Denville. Panachida will be held on Tuesday, September 29 from 5-9 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Peter's memory. Please leave a condolence for his family.
