Obituary of E. Arthur Selvage

E. Arthur Selvage 96, passed away on September 1, 2015 at the NJ Fireman's Home in Boonton NJ after a short illness.
Art was born in Morristown, NJ to Walter P Selvage Sr. and Lillian Ball Selvage on December 29, 1918. He graduated from Morristown HS in 1936 and was a self-employed carpenter and builder. He became a volunteer firefighter for the Hillside Hose Company in 1942 and was the oldest member of the fire company.
In 1946 he married Eleanor Davis and they settled in the Indian Lake section of Denville, NJ and they were married for 63 years, Eleanor predeceased him in 2010.
They enjoyed travelling to many places and spent time at Cape Cod in the summers with their daughters. He was a member of Denville Senior Citizens "Shoot the Breeze" club, Hillside Hose Fire Co. and was a big Yankee and NY Giants fan.
He is survived by his loving daughters and their families, Sandy and Dave Drescher of West Des Moines, Iowa, Nancy and Rich Koptula of Denville, NJ, Grandchildren, James and Missy Drescher of Iowa City, Iowa, Christy and Collin Callahan of Chicago IL, Tim Koptula and Ken Koptula of Denville, NJ great-grandchildren Reese Ann Drescher and a baby due in February.

Visitation and memorial service will be at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 on Thursday September 10, 1015, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, with a short service at 7:00.
